Eucalyptus essential oil is obtained from the leaves of Eucalyptus globulus, Eucalyptus globulus essential oil is extremely versatile with powerful antibacterial, antifungal and anti-infectious properties making it indispensable for all types of infection control such as mosquitos spreading. A concentration of 2 to 5% of its essential oil dispersed in a vaporizer has been shown to destroy 80% of the mosquitoes in the affected room.

Mosquitoes are the major vectors for dengue fever, yellow fever, malaria, filariasis,encephalitis and other fevers Essential oil from Cedrus deodara, were evaluated for bioactivity against some species of mosquitoes like Culex quinquefasciatus and Aedes aegypti for its anti mosquito properties.

Known by the botanical name Cedrus deodora, Cedarwood Himalayan extract is derived from wood part through steam distillation method. When extracted, it has yellowish to brownish yellow viscous liquid color.

Effective insect repellent:
Insects, especially mosquitoes often serve as the carrier for certain hazardous diseases such as malaria, dengue etc. Cedarwood essential oil is naturally rich in sesquiterpenes such as atlantones and himachalenes, making it an excellent insect repellent that sanitizes the surrounding.

Cedar wood essential oil can be called as a harmonizing insect repellent that kills insects and fills the atmosphere with its elevating woody aroma. Cedrus deodara oil has been shown to possess insecticidal properties.
Perfume Drakkar is 1% in the composition
The Other ingredients such as fragrances and emollients are added to mosquito repellents to make them more cosmetically appealing. As such there is significant interest in adding 1% perfume formulation that people will find the Formulation aesthetically pleasing.
EXCIPIENTS – Q.S.
D80 – widely used solvent is de-aromatized which is transparent in appearance. It has very low levels of aromatic hydrocarbon which is an indicator to show that they do not exhibit any strong characteristic odor to hinder with the combining ai compounds. The major constituents of D80 are isoparaffins,paraffins and cycloparaffins
